In honor of recognizing our very own 2016 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award recipient, Larry Fitzgerald Jr., we were delighted to share the NFL Man of the Year video during the game which showcased some of the good work Larry and First Down Fund has done over the years in communities both nationally and internationally. It was our pleasure to present the 2017 FitzSoftball Commitment to Community Award to Sandi Young & Terrell Owens, both of whom were deserving for their continued efforts to enhance the lives of young people.
We are proud to announce that this year’s softball game received 100’s of thousands of social media impressions on IG, Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook that will assist in furthering the support and visibility of the event, our sponsors/donators and the beneficiaries! The First Down Fund donated 500+ tickets to11 different non-profit organizations so that children and families could attend the game together to support family time and memorable experiences! In an effort to assist in the fight against hunger alongside the United Food Bank, the event collected canned goods that will feed close to 3,000children, elders and families in the valley as well as provide continued funding for organizations supported by the First Down Fund!
